Masks are cast using gold metal powder backed with a super black resin for a permanent metallic finish. Additional hand applied acrylic paint creates the distressed “Dwemer metal” look. Masks are finished with a satin enamel topcoat to preserve painted details. Since each mask is made by hand, each WILL have slight variations in distressing and leather color.
Mask secures behind the head using three leather ties, bound together with a sturdy leather thong to keep mask weight balanced around the crown of the head. Leather ties are adjustable to allow for “one size fits most” sizing. It is recommended to wear this mask with a cowl to hide the strapping around the back of the head (not provided with this listing).
Masks are padded at the brow, upper nose, and cheeks with soft black foam. * Masks do fit snugly around the face * and may be uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Inner foam can be removed or replaced if desired or for better fit on larger heads. Eyes are “blacked” out using “Aida Cloth” mesh. Visibility when wearing is partially limited, but wearer can see enough to move freely when care is taken. This mask will not fit well over glasses. Please contact me with any specific questions regarding the fit of these masks.
The Dagoth Ur mask also makes a stunning home or office display piece. Mask is easily hung on a wall using a 10-20lb “picture hook” or sturdy screw and molly.
Masks weigh approximately 42 ounces (1.2kg). Overall dimensions: 16″ x 14″ x 6″ (40.5cm x 35.5cm x 10cm).
